VSI conducted program services totaling $2,749,609 in support of the activities of Village Schools Tanzania, Village Schools Malawi, Village Schools Zambia, Village Schools Uganda and Village Schools Kenya by providing: 1) missionary personnel in service of Village Schools Tanzania, Village Schools Malawi, Village Schools Zambia, Village Schools Uganda and Village Schools Kenya 2) technical and financial assistance which enabled Village Schools Tanzania, Village Schools Malawi, Village Schools Zambia, Village Schools Uganda and Village Schools Kenya to construct classrooms, multi-purpose buildings, teacher houses, science laboratories, libraries, chapels, and sanitation facilities as well as electricity, water and computer projects at 90 schools, 75 of which are open and functioning with 17,458 students enrolled 3) educational equipment and supplies to aid in the on-going operation of these schools; 4) medicine and material help to orphans and those suffering from HIV/AIDS in villages near these schools
