The Community Bread Basket provides a food pantry to individuals and families of the community every Friday. Volunteers and members of local congregations operate the food pantry under the direction of the program administrator. We have dedicated volunteers who faithfully fill and distribute food orders. The food pantry is stocked through the support of our churches, local businesses and community donations. Bulk supplies are purchased and donated from the USDA Mountaineer Food Bank. 5,979 recipients were assisted during 2023 in addition to several low-income housing facilites and another food assistance organization.

The utility assistance program provides assistance to families through payments to utility companies in association with a termination notice, local supply companies for heating fuel such as kerosene and propane, and landlords related to eviction notices. 55 families were assisted during 2023.

The Gabriel Project provides baby items such as clothing, diapers, cribs, car seats, etc to families in need. Staff and volunteers help select the necessary items essential for the childs well being. The Gabriel room receives contributed baby items from donors which include baby food, diapers, blankets, clothing for boys and girls ages 0-7, clothing accessories, stuffed animals, toys, and baby equipment. 5 families and another family assistance organization were assisted during 2023.
