(AHKC) is focused on improving the social welfare of low and very low income families in Kansas City through the creation, rehabilitation, and preservation of affordable housing. Supportive housing services for residents are included in the operation of these housing developments. AHKC is a co-general partner in a new affordable housing site that was under construction in 2021 and one that was completing its financing in advance of construction. AHKC was also a co-general partner in acquiring and refinancing a troubled affordable housing site in 2021. These projects are all located in Kansas City, Missouri. They include Brookwood at Antioch with 26 subsidized affordable units, Sam Rodgers Place with 27 subsidized affordable units, and Cardinal Ridge with 69 subsidized affordable units. The subsidies are administered by AHKCs sponsor agency, the Housing Authority of Kansas City, Missouri.
