Summer Camp Programs. Research demonstrates that growing food is one of the most powerful ways to reconnect children to nature and to get people outside. The flagship summer program, Earth Keepers, saw capacity attendance in the reproting year with 340 paarticipants attending for 10-weeks (over 1,700 student days). There was a pilot program with two teen apprenticeship positions providing agricultural educaiton and training. The junior apprenticeship program (ages 12-16) and the summer apprenticeship (ages 14-18) are application based, paid programs.
