Secured and disbursed grants from the U.S. State Department's Bureau of Populations, Refugees and Migration (BPRM) to provide core lifesaving health care and emergency mental health support response projects for refugees and the host community in South Sudan. AHA's grant improved the overall delivery of lifesaving health care, maternal and newborn health, emergency mental health, and essential sanitation services; and contributed to the prevention of HIV/AIDS transmission and impact reduction for over 60,000 refugees and host community population in the Ajuong Thok refugee camp and surrounding area, in the Republic of South Sudan, in accordance with AHA's project agreement with the U.S. State Department's Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (BPRM).
