DENVER BIKE SHARING SERVES AS A CATALYST FOR A FUNDAMENTAL TRANSFORMATION IN THINKING AND BEHAVIOR BY OPERATING A BIKE SHARING SYSTEM IN DENVER TO ENHANCE MOBILITY WHILE PROMOTING ALL ASPECTS OF SUSTAINABILITY: QUALITY OF LIFE, EQUITY, THE ENVIRONMENT, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, AND PUBLIC HEALTH. THE LONG-TERM GOAL OF DENVER BIKE SHARING IS TO OFFER A PUBLIC BIKE SHARING SYSTEM OF 600 DOCKLESS BIKES TO DENVER RESIDENTS AND VISITORS. DENVER BIKE SHARING CEASED OPERATIONS OF THE DENVER B-CYCLE SYSTEM AS OF JANUARY 30, 2020. MULTIPLE FACTORS LED TO THIS DECISION INCLUDING AGING EQUIPMENT, DPSA TERM AND EXPIRATION, CHANGING MOBILITY LANDSCAPE AND COMPETITION. DENVER BIKE SHARING PARTNERED WITH A NEW VENDOR AND COMPETED FOR THE CITY OF DENVER'S RFQ IN THE SPRING OF 2020. ON JULY 23, 2020, WE RECEIVED WORD FROM THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT THAT DENVER BIKE SHARING WAS NOT SELECTED.
