RezQ Dogs provides general care and housing for dogs and a few cats that are abandoned or relinquished. All dogs receive an exam from a veterinarian are vaccinated and quarantined to ensure they remain healthy are spayed neutered and made available for adoption. Dogs stay at RezQ Dogs until they are adopted or transferred to other shelters. RezQ Dogs does not place a time limit on the dogs length of stay and does not euthanize to make room for more dogs. RezQ Dogs goes to great lengths to ensure successful outcomes for dogs in its care. Dogs with injuries or sick are treated in various veterinary clinics across the state of Montana. In 2023 RezQ Dogs cared for 266 dogs and 26 cats on site.

In August 2023 in collaboration with the US Army Reserve Medical Command RezQ Dogs conducted a large 12 day spay neuter wellness clinic in two communities on the Fort Belknap Indian Reservation. During that time 76 dogs and 74 cats were spayed 76 dogs and 44 cats were neutered as well as vaccinated and treated for internal and external parasites. In addition 522 wellness exams were conducted on 285 dogs 229 cats and 8 horses.
