Academic Leadership Charter School opened in 2009 with Grades K and 1 and since then, has expanded to serve students in grades K-8. Academic Leadership Charter School has set very high academic performance goals for its students and has striven to meet those goals by providing a rigorous, engaging and comprehensive instructional program. Our main goal and focus is to provide our students with a quality educational program that allows them to develop and demonstrate College and Career Readiness by meeting or exceeding NYS Standards through a strong curriculum and exemplary teaching practices. It is our belief that all students can achieve academic success in a nurturing and academically rigorous environment.We have received the National Blue-Ribbon School of Excellence, along with New York State Awards (Recognition School). This is all thanks to our wonderful teachers, staff and administration that work tirelessly to provide a great experience for youth while we grow academically. With this excellent support, children have a safe environment for learning, and a safe environment for personal growth. We have topped state testing averages by 40% percent for ELA and 30% for math, according to the New York State Education Department data from the 2019 school year. We score higher than 95% of public schools in NYS, according to schooldigger.com, Greatschools.org gives our school a 10/10, and we are considered a noteworthy school by insideschools.org.
