Community Leadership Initiative: Our connection to the communities we work with is essential. It's the most powerful vehicle we have for driving change and improving the health and lives of the people of D.C. That's why our Community Engagement team creates feedback channels from the community to DC Greens about the work we're doing. It also helps us ensure that community voice remains central as we begin to imagine the work we may do in the future. In 2024, DC Greens launched Community Leadership Initiative (CLI), a leadership development program. Through CLI, community members with lived expertise are hired for positions at a variety of levels within the organization to contribute to the work and provide meaningful input in key areas, such as program development, strategic planning, partnerships, and community outreach.
