Throughout the year, the Hollywood Prayer Network (HPN) hosted a diverse array of events aimed at fostering community, spiritual growth, and outreach within the Hollywood industry. The group ended the year united in purpose and strengthened in spirit, ready to carry that light into the new year with boldness and hope.In December, the Inbetweeners communityChristian creatives working in animationcame together in the Library at First Presbyterian Church Hollywood for an evening centered on sharing and celebrating creative projects.Attendees had the opportunity to present their own animation work and creative endeavors, fostering a supportive environment where peers could encourage one another and offer prayer. Industry veteran guest speakers also joined the gathering, providing insight and inspiration to fuel the communitys artistic growth.The night was a meaningful blend of creativity, faith, and fellowshipstrengthening animators to pursue their calling with passion and purpose. The final months of 2025 were full of laughter, learning, and celebration for our Upside Down Comedy community!In November, we enjoyed a special workshop with Robert G. Lee at FPCH, where comics brought bits they were developing for feedback and fine-tuning. It was an encouraging night of growth, creativity, and plenty of laughs.We wrapped up our weekly meetings for the year on November 11th with a relaxed evening of potluck, prayer, and fellowship, taking time to reflect on how God has been moving through this community of comedians, writers, and humorists.Then in December, we gathered once more for our Annual Christmas Partya joyful night filled with gratitude, laughter, and connection as we celebrated all that God has done throughout the year.From stage time to prayer time, these last gatherings of 2025 captured the heart of Upside Down Comedy: building a family of artists who bring light, humor, and hope to the world. We cant wait to see whats ahead in 2026!On December 13th, the Kingdom Writers Association gathered in The Library at First Presbyterian Church Hollywood for another encouraging evening dedicated to prayer, community, and craft.This group, focused exclusively on screenwriters actively working on film and television projects, came together to share fellowship, enjoy food, and support one another through prayer. Alongside spiritual encouragement, writers participated in peer review and offered constructive feedback on each others workhelping everyone grow both creatively and in faith.The gathering was filled with honest conversations, meaningful connections, and a shared commitment to pursue excellence in storytelling while honoring Gods call.If youre a screenwriter looking for a community that prays with you and sharpens your craft, KWAs monthly meetings are a place to belong and grow.Each month in 2025, our HPN Monthly Meetups provided a welcoming space for newcomers to LA and the Hollywood Prayer Network community. Held on the 2nd or 3rd Thursday of each month at 11:00 AM in the Library Coffeehouse at First Pres Hollywood, these gatherings offered coffee, breakfast refreshments, and a relaxed environment for connection.Attendees had the opportunity to meet HPN directors Karen Covell and Kelry Kirschenmann, learn about community groups, and receive practical insights and tips for thriving in the entertainment industry. Each meetup combined fellowship with guidance, helping participants feel at home while exploring ways to integrate faith and career.These monthly gatherings were an easy and meaningful way to connect with the HPN community, whether people were new to LA, new to the network, or looking to deepen their connections in the industry. In December, our Industry Fellowship Gathering welcomed entertainment professionals for an evening of connection, encouragement, and faith-filled community in Venice, LA.The night started with casual conversation over small bites and drinks, creating a warm and inviting space to relax and catch up. Following this, attendees participated in a relaxed discussion to check in, share insights, and offer support grounded in shared experiences and faith.The gathering concluded with a meaningful time of prayer, lifting up personal needs and the wider entertainment community.These monthly meetings continue to provide a vital space for authentic relationships and spiritual encouragementreminding everyone that were walking this journey together.In December, we celebrated the season with our wonderful Leaders and Friends at a festive Christmas Dinner, honoring a year of faithful service and community.The evening was filled with joy, laughter, and friendship as everyone came dressed in their favorite festive attire. Guests enjoyed a delicious dinner, fun games, a gift exchange, and special awards recognizing the heart and dedication of those who serve.It was a meaningful time to relax, connect, and reflect on Gods faithfulness throughout 2025, surrounded by a family committed to His Kingdom work in Hollywood.Were so grateful for this community and excited for all thats ahead in the new year!On December 3rd, Hollywood Prayer Network continued its long-standing tradition with a powerful Studio Prayer Walk at Warner Bros. Since 2010, these prayer walks have been led by Christians working within the industry who have a heart to bless their workplace.Small groups gathered to walk the lot, pray over the land, and intercede for the people, projects, and creativity that flow from these iconic spaces. It was a rare opportunity to spiritually impact the heart of Hollywood from the inside out.Were thankful for all who participated in this intimate and meaningful experience.In November, the Between Takes brotherhood continued to bring together Christian men in entertainment for real, unfiltered conversations about faith, film, and life in the industry. Under the leadership of Chad Smathers, each gathering offered a powerful mix of prayer, Scripture, and honest dialoguerooted in the challenges and hopes that come with working in Hollywood.The guys shared updates from their projects, lifted one another up in prayer, and encouraged each other to stay grounded in purpose despite the pressures of success and uncertainty. The gatherings were marked by laughter, wisdom, and a strong sense of camaraderie that keeps this community thriving.In November, the Prologue Writer's Fellowship gathered for its monthly meeting!Who We ArePrologue Writers Fellowship is a monthly gathering for all writers poets, creative writers, fiction, and non-fiction authors are encouraged to come, fellowship, build community, and receive prayer! Rebecca and her husband Joel run The Library on the First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood Campus, and are integral partners with Hollywood Prayer Network to create welcoming and loving spaces for all who want to learn about The Lord, FPCH, The Library, and HPN.In November, Hollywood Prayer Network celebrated a major milestone with the inaugural Professional Discipleship Program (PDP) Commencement, marking the completion of the first 12-month spiritual formation journey alongside the six-month industry mentorship program.This special evening brought together Christian professionals from across the entertainment industry for meaningful fellowship, encouragement, and connection.
