SMART collaborated in strong partnerships to distribute 36,200 books to young children and the adults who care for them and teach them, including parents and teachers. Through networking and partnerships, SMART gave books to 9,317 children, reached 781 parents, and trained 1,381 teachers and literacy leaders. SMART led 250 volunteers and service learners in service-learning activities and projects. As a result of Hurricane Beryl in 2024, SMART gave 45 backpacks with emergency supplies to families and replaced $25,000 in damaged learning supplies for childcare centers.
