GOSPEL IN TURKEY. Spreading the Christian gospel in Turkey includes general support for building rent and utilities. The church foundation with whom MT28 Inc interacts now owns two buildings, but it rents buildings in nine cities/villages in the region for church plants. MT28 Inc helps provide the salaries for the growing staff of young pastors servicing these church plants, plus fuel and vehicle insurance to enable pastors to visit and guide these young churches as well as house churches in the outlying villages. MT28 Inc helps provide Bibles and other Christian materials including printed materials and video DVDs. Fifty to sixty visitors come by the church daily to avail themselves of these materials. Additionally, MT28 Inc helps support through equipment and direct and indirect costs of recording and online streaming of Sunday church services, including the sermons. Funds from MT28 Inc also purchase newspaper ads and support ministry to prisoners and staff at prisons within the region.

REFUGEE RELIEF. MT28 Inc provides a broad range of refugee relief in several areas of Turkey. Recipients still include displaced families and individuals from Iraq and Syria as a result of armed conflict plus Afghans who fled the Taliban. Additionally, there is a continuous influx of political and religious refugees from Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, & Syria. They are asylum seekers registered with the United Nations for relocation to other countries, but while they wait, they have very few resources and minimal opportunities to support themselves or their families. MT28 Inc provides funds for food cards, medicines, baby supplies, mattresses, blankets, and heating stoves and coal to help them survive the cold winter months in most of Turkey. Additionally, MT28 Inc provides funds for back-to-school materials, uniforms, shoes, and winter coats for children of refugees. MT28 assisted approximately 2000 people in over 350 families through 10 strategic locations in the Black Sea region. All assistance is provided with no strings attached; however, through this effort, and with the gospel materials provided, many have experienced genuine caring, and have accepted the Christian faith. Many of the war victims were so traumatized by the brutality of radical Muslims that they were fearful of everyone but the few local Christians who were able to minister to them.

Program 3
Expenses: $3,430 Revenue: $0

SOUTH ASIA MINISTRY: Financial assistance for Christian outreach events and tangible assistance to the poor, such as clothing and food.
