Entering housing is an important step in the journey out of homelessness, but not enough to solve the problem. Humble Design ends the revolving door of homelessness by creating homes where families can find peace, strength, and hope. We are the conduit for the community to donate their gently used household furnishings, and decor items directly to someone who will benefit from it most. In 2024, we served over 1,417 people who had secured housing after emerging from homelessness. We turned 475 empty house/apartments into personal, welcoming spaces. Without receiving the services of Humble Design, up to half of those who obtain stable housing return to shelters within a year. With Humble Design, less than 2% do.
