LIVING ROOM MINISTRIES INTERNATIONAL OPERATES IN KENYA, PROVIDINGHEALTHCARE SERVICES TO PEOPLE AFFECTED BY LIFE-THREATENING ILLNESSES ATKIMBILIO HOSPICE IN KIPKAREN RIVER AND LIVING ROOM INTERNATIONAL HOSPITALIN ELDORET.KIMBILIO HOSPICE, A 24-BED INPATIENT HOSPICE, WAS CONSTRUCTED IN 2011 ANDPROVIDES HOLISTIC CARE FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN. THE ORGANIZATION ALSOOPERATES OUTPATIENT SERVICES TO CLIENTS IN THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES.ITS SERVICES INCLUDE THE MANAGEMENT OF PAIN AND OTHER SYMPTOMS,PROVISION OF PSYCHOSOCIAL AND SPIRITUAL SUPPORT, AND PHYSICAL THERAPY.ADMISSION TO KIMBILIO HOSPICE AND LENGTH OF STAY ARE NOT BASED ON RACE,TRIBE, RELIGION, EDUCATIONAL LEVEL, OR THE ABILITY TO PAY. THE MAIN GOAL IS TOACHIEVE THE BEST QUALITY OF LIFE FOR INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES FACINGADVANCED ILLNESS.IN 2012, IN A CONTINUING EFFORT TO SERVE FAMILIES AFFECTED BY DEATH, THEORGANIZATION CONSTRUCTED A MORTUARY AND FUNERAL HOME IN KIPKARENRIVER, ON THE SAME CAMPUS AS KIMBILIO HOSPICE.IN 2015, 8 ACRES WERE PURCHASED NEAR ELDORET TOWN TO DEVELOP ANDCONSTRUCT A HOSPITAL. IN 2019, LIVING ROOM INTERNATIONAL HOSPITAL -ELDORET, A 49-BED, LEVEL 4 HOSPITAL, WAS OFFICIALLY OPENED. IN 2022, LIVINGROOM EXPANDED ITS BED CAPACITY TO 144 BEDS AND ITS SERVICES TO INCLUDEMATERNITY, SURGICAL, ICU, AND GUESTHOUSE/ACCOMMODATION FOR CHILDRENAND FAMILIES WHO HAVE TRAVELED FAR DISTANCES TO RECEIVE THEIR ONCOLOGYTREATMENT AT A NEARBY GOVERNMENT HOSPITAL.IN 2024, THE ORGANIZATION HAD 170 KENYAN STAFF MEMBERS AND SERVED OVER120,000 PEOPLE BETWEEN ITS TWO CAMPUSES.SINCE ITS INCEPTION, LIVING ROOM MINISTRIES INTERNATIONAL HAS REACHED OUTTO MANY IN KENYAN SOCIETY WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED LIFE-LIMITING ILLNESSES.THE ORGANIZATION OFFERS QUALITY, HOLISTIC HEALTHCARE SERVICES ANDEDUCATION, FULFILLING ITS VISION OF BEING A COMMUNITY OF COMPASSION THATHONORS LIFE AND OFFERS HOPE.
