MISSION: RESTORE IS A US BASED 501C3 GLOBAL HEALTH NON-PROFIT THAT SPECIALIZES IN RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY AND PROVIDES TRAINING TO SURGEONS IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES THROUGH HANDS-ON TRAINING, EDUCATIONAL GRANTS, REGIONAL TRAININGS AND TELEMEDICINE. OUR CORE PROGRAMS TAKE AN INTEGRATED APPROACH TO PROVIDING SKILLS TRAINING AND MENTORSHIP AND PROVIDE ACCESS TO A LARGE SUPPORT NETWORK OF SURGEONS, WHICH KEEPS SURGEONS ENGAGED AND LEARNING NEW TECHNIQUES. IN 2018 OUR PROGRAM ACCOMPLISHMENTS INCLUDED:1. PROVIDING TRAINING TO 103 LOCAL SURGEONS IN EAST AFRICA AND OVER 13 COUNTRIES. WE ESTIMATE THAT THESE SURGEONS COLLECTIVELY PERFORMED OVER 40,000 SURGERIES IN 2018 USING NEW AND IMPROVED SKILLS TAUGHT BY MISSION: RESTORE. THESE SURGERIES HAD A VALUE OF MORE THAN $200 MILLION. WE ALSO RECRUITED 40% WOMEN HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS FOR OUR THIRD ANNUAL SURGICAL TRAINING SYMPOSIUM HELD IN JULY 2018 IN UGANDA2. 4 SURGICAL TRAINING TRIPS PROVIDING OVER 100 HOURS OF HANDS-ON SURGICAL EDUCATION.3. 52 COMPLEX SURGERIES OVERSEEN BY TOP SURGEON TRAINERS.4. $450,000+ IN PRO-BONO MEDICAL SERVICES PROVIDEDBY TRAINING LOCAL SURGEONS MISSION: RESTORE CAN LOWER THE COST OF SURGICAL CARE BY OVER 40% MAKING ACCESS TO SURGICAL CARE MORE ACCESSIBLE, SUSTAINABLE AND COST EFFECTIVE FOR THE PATIENTS WHO NEED IT MOST.
