KIDSAFE FOUNDATION (ORGANIZATION) IS A 501(C)(3) NONPROFIT FOUNDED IN 2009 TO KEEP CHILDREN SAFE. BY TEACHING PERSONAL SAFETY TO CHILDREN AND THEIR GROWN-UPS, CHILDREN CAN BECOME HEALTHY, EMPOWERED ADULTS WITH SKILLS IN RESILIENCY AND CONFIDENCE. BY PROVIDING KIDSAFE PROGRAMMING IN SCHOOLS, TO PARENTS AND CHILD-SERVING PROFESSIONALS ONLINE AND IN SEMINARS, KIDSAFE HAS SERVED OVER 60,000 CHILDREN AND OVER 35,000 ADULTS. THE ORGANIZATION IS PRIMARILY SUPPORTED THROUGH DONOR CONTRIBUTIONS AND GRANTS. THE STATISTICS REPORTED BY THE CENTER FOR DISEASE CONTROL ARE STAGGERING. EVERY NINE MINUTES, A SUBSTANTIATED CASE OF CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE IS REPORTED (RAINN) AND ONE IN TEN CHILDREN WILL BE SEXUALLY EXPLOITED BEFORE THE AGE OF 18. NINETY PERCENT OF THE TIME THEY ARE HARMED BY SOMEONE THEY KNOW AND TRUST, AND OVER SIXTY PERCENT OF THE TIME THEY ARE HARMED BY A FAMILY MEMBER. OUR EDUCATION DIRECTLY ADDRESSES CHILD TRAFFICKING THROUGH PREVENTION: OVER EIGHTY PERCENT OF CHILDREN WHO BECOME VICTIMS OF SEX TRAFFICKING HAVE A HISTORY OF CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE. PREVENTION EDUCATION IS THE KEY TO MAKING SURE OUR CHILDREN ARE PROTECTED. EMPOWERED CHILDREN BECOME POWERFUL ADULTS MISSION STATEMENT: KIDSAFE'S MISSION IS TO PROVIDE PREVENTION EDUCATION TO CHILDREN AND ADULTS, EMPOWERING THEM WITH SKILLS THAT CREATE A SAFE SOCIETY FREE FROM SEXUAL ABUSE, BULLYING AND INTERNET EXPLOITATION.
