JVHI ASSISTS INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES TO PURCHASE "GOVERNOR'S HOMES" THAT JVHI OBTAIN FROM THE SOUTH DAKOTA HOUSING DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY. JVHI ALSO MANAGES THE CONSTRUCTION OF HOMES FOR OCCUPANCY. THE HOMEOWNER MUST MEET ELGIBILITY CRITERIA BASED ON HOUSEHOLD INCOME AND MUST ATTEND HOME OWNERSHIP CLASSES THAT ARE PROVIDED BY THE ORGANIZATION. ASSISTANCE IS PROVIDED FOR THE INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES TO OBTAIN GRANT FUNDS AND FINANCING FOR THE HOMES CONSTRUCTED BY JVHI WHICH ARE AVAILABLE TO LOW-INCOME FAMILIES.
