THE RELIEF ASSOCIATION IS AN ALL VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATION PROVIDING SUPPORT TO THE MANHEIM TOWNSHIP FIRE RESCUE, WHICH IS A MUNICIPAL DEPARTMENT UNDER THE TOWNSHIP OF MANHEIM, LANCASTER, PENNSYLVANIA. THE RELIEF ASSOCIATION PROVIDES SUPPORT BY WAY OF PROVIDING FUNDS FOR THE PROTECTION OF THE VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS AND HEIRS. THESE FUNDS PROVIDE BENEFITS TO VOLUNTEERS AND THEIR FAMILIES TO ENCOURAGE INDIVIDUALS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE FIRE SERVICE. FUNDS ARE ALSO USED TO PAY THE EXPENSES OF TRAINING EMERGENCY SERVICE PERSONNEL AND TO PURCHASE EQUIPMENT TO PROTECT THEM IN THE COURSE OF THEIR HAZARDOUS DUTIES.
