Citizenship Preparation Classes were provided to approximately 1100 Lawful Permanent Residents who were qualified to apply to become U.S. citizens. While we do not require that students who attend our classes apply for U.S. citizenship through our office or programs the vast majority do and become U.S. citizens. Our citizenship preparation classes are provided free of charge to all studen and there is not limit on the number of times a student may attend our classes before applying to become a U.S. citizen. Each class cycle is of 36 3-hour classes once weekly for 12 weeks. Depending on demand availability of in-kind provided class space volunteer teachers and support volunteers we offer at least 3 class cycles per year. Comparable wcommercially provided classes would cost each student $250 plus material. Since our classes including material are provided for 0 cost a savings of at least 275,000 has been realized by those participating in our citizenship preparation classes

Citizenship application assistance was provided to more than 1700 Lawful Permanent Residents who were qualified to apply to become U.S. citizens. We provide our citizenship application assistance services with the supervision of licensed attorneys and U. S. Department of Justice Office of Legal Access Programs Accredited Representatives; who are supervising staff contractors and volunteers who have been trained in the requirements for completing applications for U.S. citizenship. We conduct 28 citizenship application workshops each year which are free to applicants; and offer in-office citizenship application assistance at low cost determined by DOJ-OLAP fee schedule Monday thru Thursday from 9 am to 5 pm. The average commercial cost of providing citizenship application assistance is %1500 per application not including USCIS application fees which represents a savings of at least $2,455,795.19 after accounting for the indicated direct revenue of $94,204.81.Based on our records more than 90% of those receiving application assistance from us have become U.s. citizens.

To extend the impact of Lawful Permanent Residents become U.S. citizens were provide periodic free information sessions for new and other interested U. S. citizens to educated them on the value of exercising their right and responsibility as U.S. citizens to register to vote to vote to engage their elected representatives at all levels of goverment and other civic engagemnt opportunities. Through such programs we have provided instructions on voter registration provided access to and trained on use of local voting machines provided guides to interacting with local state and national representatives and have educated them on the value and historical significance of legal holidays. Thru these programs we engage more than 2000 U.S. citizens annually.8927
