MY ACCESS TO NETWORK OPPORTUNITIES (MANO) PROJECT- THE MANO PROJECT CONNECTS LATINO YOUTH TO CAREERS IN PUBLIC SERVICE THROUGH PARTNERSHIPS WITH FEDERAL AGENCIES LIKE THE NATIONAL PARK SERVICE. THE MANO PROJECT RECRUITS AND MENTORS YOUNG COLLEGE GRADUATES, PROVIDING THEM WITH CRUCIAL FUNDING, SUPPORT, AND GUIDANCE TO HELP THEM SUCCEED AS INTERNS AND OFTEN SEGUE INTO PERMANENT PROFESSIONAL POSITIONS. IN 2023, LATINO CONSERVATION WEEK HOSTED 330 EVENTS NATIONWIDE, SUPPORTING KEY EFFORTS LIKE THE CHUMASH NATIONAL MARINE SANCTUARY. BY STRENGTHENING THE CAPACITIES OF GRASSROOTS LEADERS TO ADVOCATE FOR THE ENVIRONMENT AND BY ELEVATING THEIR VOICES, OUR CONSERVATION PROGRAM HAS ACHIEVED TANGIBLE RESULTS, INCLUDING THE DESIGNATION OF MORE THAN 3.9 MILLION ACRES OF PUBLIC LANDS IN THE PAST 15 YEARS.
