In a heartfelt effort to maintain bonds between incarcerated mothers and their children, the Women's Storybook Project reached across 12 women's prisons in Texas, enabling 552 mothers to record stories and/or write caring notes, 1,032 children to receive these messages of love, and 5,693 books and/or recordings to be mailed to children across 23 states. This initiative continues to bridge distance with the power of storytelling, nuturing connection and healing one book at a time.
