IN 2024, ANCHAL PROUDLY PROVIDED VITAL SERVICES TO 153 WOMEN IN AJMER, INDIA, WHO HAVE SURVIVED EXPLOITATION IN THE COMMERCIAL SEX TRADE, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, OR POVERTY. OUR HOLISTIC PROGRAM BEGINS WITH TEXTILE AND DESIGN TRAINING FOR WOMEN WITH NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE AND CONTINUES WITH FULL-TIME EMPLOYMENT, EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS, HEALTH SERVICES, AND ACCESS TO AN INTERNATIONAL MARKETPLACE. THIS COMPREHENSIVE MODEL ADDRESSES THE COMPLEX BARRIERS MARGINALIZED WOMEN FACE AND HELPS THEM BUILD CONFIDENCE, FINANCIAL INDEPENDENCE, AND CREATIVE EXPRESSION. TO DATE, WE'VE EMPLOYED OVER 500 WOMEN, SUPPORTED 95% OF ARTISANS IN LEAVING THE SEX TRADE OR REDUCING CLIENTS, AND PRODUCED OVER 130,000 ECO-FRIENDLY PRODUCTS.THIS YEAR MARKED SEVERAL EXCITING MILESTONES, INCLUDING THE DEBUT OF ANCHAL'S ARTISANS AND THEIR WORK IN THE KMAC MUSEUM'S STRETCHED IN STRENGTH EXHIBITION IN LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKYAN OPPORTUNITY THAT ELEVATED THEIR VOICES IN THE CONTEMPORARY ART WORLD AND THE LARGER LOUISVILLE COMMUNITY. WE ALSO LAUNCHED OUR FIRST-EVER BABY AND KIDS COLLECTION, WHICH NOT ONLY INTRODUCED A FRESH PRODUCT LINE BUT ALSO EQUIPPED ARTISANS WITH A NEW SKILLSET AND DESIGN TECHNIQUES, EXPANDING THEIR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT.EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES THROUGH ANCHAL EMPOWER WOMEN TO CULTIVATE ECONOMIC SELF-SUFFICIENCY FOR THEMSELVES AND THEIR FAMILIES. SENIOR ARTISAN SITA SHARED, "THANKS TO ANCHAL, I CAN SEND MY TWO DAUGHTERS AND ONE SON TO A PRIVATE SCHOOL. I CAN PAY THEIR SCHOOL FEES, UNIFORMS, AND BOOKS."
