The Western Heritage Center (WHC), located at 156C South Montezuma Street on historically significant Whiskey Row, is a collaboration of more than 20 museums, historical societies, and other organizations dedicated to the preservation and promotion of our western heritage. The WHC will use the first five (5) exhibits to house displays of the Museum of Indigenous People, Rough Riders, Rodeo, Sheriff's Office -- History of Law Enforcement and the Pippen Museum. These collaborative partners will educate visitors through their organizations' displays of historic western individuals and items of historical importance, including artifacts, memorabilia, period costumes, maps, ancient indian baskets and artwork amongst other educational information. These organizations are excited to have the opportunity to be showcased in a central location on Whiskey Row for tourists and locals, with an emphasis on youth. This "one stop" WHC will help promote the organizations by providing interactive organizational information on how to visit their specific locations. Some of the other organizations involved with the WHC are the Yavapai Cowbelles, History of Ranching, Prescott Corral of Westerners International, the Arizona Poets Gathering and Prescott Film -- over 100 years of film in Yavapai County.
