Our Wilderness Corps does the hard work it takes to keep our region's trails alive. Crews of college interns and leadership staff dispatch to remote work sites across the national forests of southwest Oregon and northwest California. Crews perform critical maintenance on popular destinations like the Rogue River National Recreation Trail and the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail. They also dispatch into the most remote depths of these areas to restore and maintain lesser-known trails like the Upper Chetco and Illinois River trails, as well as the trail networks crossing the Red Buttes, Wild Rogue, Sky Lakes, Kalmiopsis, Siskiyou, and Marble Mountain federal wilderness areas.
