CICLAVIA KNOWS NO BOUNDARIES, TOUCHING THE LIVES OF PEOPLE FROM ALL NEIGHBORHOODS, WALKS OF LIFE, ECONOMICS, ETHNICITIES, CULTURES, MOBILITY, AND AGES. CICLAVIA HELPS SHAPE POLICIES THAT AFFECT THE COMMUNITY, CLIMATE RESILIENCY, MOBILITY & SUSTAINABLE TRANSPORTATION, AND PERSONAL AND COLLECTIVE WELLNESS. SINCE ITS FOUNDING IN 2010, CICLAVIA HAS BUILT A GLOBAL REPUTATION WHILE EARNING THE TRUST OF THE LOCAL COMMUNITY.CICLAVIA DELIVERED EIGHT (8) OPEN STREET PROGRAMS THROUGHOUT THE GREATER LOS ANGELES REGION DURING THIS PERIOD, INCLUDING A RETURN TO ANCHOR COMMUNITIES OF SOUTH LA AND THE HEART OF LA. CICLAVIA ALSO INTRODUCED A NEW MODEL, CICLAMINI, SMALLER NEIGHBORHOOD-BASED OPEN STREET EVENTS UNDER THREE MILES IN LENGTH. CICLAMINI-WATTS ON MAY 21 HIGHLIGHTED NEW LADOT INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS ALONG WITH SHOWCASING OVER 40 COMMUNITY-BASED PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS RESULTING IN TREMENDOUS PROGRAMMING ALONG THE ENTIRE 1-MILE ROUTE. COMBINED, APPROXIMATELY 180,000 PEOPLE ATTENDED THE EIGHT (8) OPEN STREETS PROGRAMS.EVERY EVENT IS FREE TO ATTEND AND AVERAGES 25,000 PARTICIPANTS WHOSE DEMOGRAPHICS REFLECT THAT OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY WITH 38% HISPANIC, 38% WHITE, 14% ASIAN, AND 7% AFRICAN AMERICAN. ALL CICLAVIA EVENTS HIGHLIGHT THE LOCAL CULTURAL, SMALL BUSINESS, ART AND ARCHITECTURE OF THE NEIGHBORHOODS WE'RE IN. CICLAVIA IS SUPPORTED BY A RANGE OF EXTERNAL REVENUE STREAMS, INCLUDING A CONTRACT WITH THE CITY OF LOS ANGELES FUNDED PRIMARILY THROUGH A METRO OPEN STREETS GRANT. THE CITY'S INVESTMENT IN-AND EXPECTATIONS OF-CICLAVIA HAVE DOUBLED IN RECENT YEARS, AS LOCAL LEADERS LOOK TO THE ORGANIZATION TO EXPAND ITS OPERATIONS AND HOST AN INCREASED NUMBER OF PROGRAMS. WE HAVE EIGHT (8) EVENTS PLANNED FOR FY '24. OTHER REVENUE SOURCES INCLUDE CORPORATE SPONSORS, FOUNDATION AND OTHER GOVERNMENT GRANTS, AND INDIVIDUAL DONATIONS (INCLUDING BOARD) AND PRODUCT SALES.
