PURPOSE. THE CORPORATION IS ORGANIZED FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL AND CHARITABLE RESOURCES IN ORDER TO PROMOTE AND STRENGTHEN A DIVERSE CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT AND PRESERVE ITS HISTORIC CHARACTER IN BELTON, MISSOURI (HEREINAFTER REFERRED TO AS "BELTON"). THE CORPORATION WILL USE THE MAIN STREET FOUR-POINT APPROACH OF (I) ORGANIZATION (ENCOURAGING COOPERATION, RECRUITING VOLUNTEERS AND BUILDING LEADERSHIP IN THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY); (II) PROMOTION (CREATING A POSITIVE IMAGE FOR DOWNTOWN AND PROMOTING IT AS A VIABLE PLACE TO LIVE, SHOP AND INVEST); (III) ECONOMIC RESTRUCTURING (DEVELOPING BUSINESS RETENTION, EXPANSION AND RECRUITMENT STRATEGIES); AND (IV) DESIGN (PROVIDING DESIGN EDUCATION AND ASSISTANCE TO IMPROVE THE APPEARANCE OF DOWNTOWN). THE CORPORATION SHALL ASPIRE TO ACHIEVE AND REMAIN IN GOOD STANDING WITH THE NATIONAL TRUST'S MAIN STREET CENTER. THE CORPORATION SHALL ACT IN A CHARITABLE MANNER AND WILL RECEIVE, ADMINISTER AND DISTRIBUTE FUNDS IN CONNECTION WITH A
