In 2021, 3 trips to Dnipro Medical Center were made to stop infection in her right foot and then to start the femur extension treatment with Ilizarov Device. Special transportation and accommodation arrangements had to be made. All of the procedures were very successful and the process is still ongoing.

Big Dreams was able to raise the amount and disbursed it to the Children's Hospital of Saint Louis to provide a partial payment for the surgery. The surgery was very successful and Sofia is now undergoing rehabilitation.
