ACROSS WIN'S SERVICES TREATMENT, EARLY INTERVENTION, AND UNIVERSAL PREVENTION SERVICES WE REACHED MORE THAN 9,000 INDIVIDUALS IN THE FISCAL YEAR. WIN WAS AWARDED OUR FIRST FEDERAL GRANT FROM THE SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES ADMINISTRATION (SAMHSA), A FIVE-YEAR AWARD AS PART OF THE NATIONAL CHILD TRAUMATIC STRESS INITIATIVE. WITH THE SAMHSA GRANT, WE EXPANDED ESSENTIAL OUTREACH EFFORTS, WE'VE OFFERED COMPREHENSIVE CASE MANAGEMENT SUPPORT, AND WE'VE IMPLEMENTED EVIDENCE-BASED PRACTICES, CHILD-PARENT PSYCHOTHERAPY, AND ATTACHMENT VITAMINS.IN ADDITION TO OUR CORE CHILD-PARENT PSYCHOTHERAPY SERVICES, WIN LAUNCHED A PERINATAL MENTAL HEALTH PROGRAM TO REACH FAMILIES AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE. WE TRAINED ALL OF OUR THERAPISTS IN ADVANCED PERINATAL PSYCHOTHERAPY, AND TRAINED THEM TO TREAT PERINATAL MOOD AND ANXIETY DISORDERS. ALL THERAPISTS ARE PURSUING PMH-C CERTIFICATION THROUGH POSTPARTUM SUPPORT INTERNATIONAL. THROUGH OUR WORK WITH PERINATAL CLIENTS, WE HAVE A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO LAY A STRONG FOUNDATION FOR FAMILY RELATIONAL HEALTH, PRIMING PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS TO ENVISION AND CULTIVATE THE KIND OF RELATIONSHIP THEY WANT TO HAVE WITH THEIR CHILD.WE ALSO EXPANDED OUR ATTACHMENT VITAMINS (AV) GROUP INTERVENTION WHICH HELPS PARENTS WITH CHILDREN AGED BIRTH-5 YEARS LEARN ABOUT CHILD DEVELOPMENT AND THE IMPACT OF STRESS AND TRAUMA. IN AV, PARENTS REFLECT ON THEIR CHILD'S EXPERIENCES AND THE POSSIBLE MEANINGS OF THEIR CHILD'S BEHAVIORS TO PROMOTE SECURE ATTACHMENT AND SAFE SOCIALIZATION PRACTICES.IN THE COMMUNITY, WIN RECEIVED AN LA COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF MENTAL HEALTH (DMH) UNITED MENTAL HEALTH PROMOTERS (UMHP) CONTRACT TO ADDRESS MENTAL HEALTH DISPARITIES BY TRAINING COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO BECOME MENTAL HEALTH PROMOTERS (MHPS). MHPS SERVE AS A BRIDGE BETWEEN THE COMMUNITY, DMH, AND OTHER HUMAN AND SOCIAL SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS AND PROVIDE DIRECT PREVENTION SERVICES FOR FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN PRENATAL TO FIVE.
