THROUGH THIS PROGRAM VETERAN PATIENTS WILL BE IDENTIFIED, SCREENED AND TRAINED TO PROVIDE ADVICE, ENCOURAGEMENT AND MORAL SUPPORT TO NEWLY DIAGNOSED PATIENTS. THIS MENTOR-PATIENT RELATIONSHIP WILL BE DESIGNED TO LAST THROUGH A PATIENT'S COURSE OF TREATMENT.
