THE EXEMPT PURPOSES OF THE NEVADA COUNTY DIGITAL MEDIA CENTER ARE: 1) TO INSPIRE, EDUCATE, AND ENABLE RESIDENTS TO LEARN TO USE ALL MEANS OF TECHNOLOGY TO INCREASE CIVIC ENGAGEMENT, DEVELOP DIGITAL LITERACY SKILLS, AND ENRICH THE CULTURAL LIFE OF OUR COMMUNITY OF THE GREATER NEVADA COUNTY. 2) TO BROADCAST LOCAL NON-COMMERCIAL TELEVISION PROGRAMS INCLUDING ALL CITY COUNCIL AND COUNTY SUPERVISOR MEETINGS. 3) PROMOTE AND SUPPORT COMMUNITY EDUCATION, PUBLIC SAFETY, CIVIC PARTICIPATION IN LOCAL GOVERNMENT, AND FREE DIVERSE SPEECH. 4)FACILITATE CITIZEN PRODUCTION AND BROADCAST OF COMMUNITY TELEVISION PROGRAMMING.
