AS A RESULT OF THE SALE OF THE ELLWOOD CITY HOSPITAL ON OCTOBER 31, 2017, THE FOUNDATION CHANGED ITS NAME TO THE ELLWOOD CITY COMMUNITY HEALTH FOUNDATION AND AMENDED ITS ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION AND BY-LAWS. THE FOUNDATION'S NEW PURPOSE IS TO IMPROVE, FOSTER, PROMOTE, AND ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE AND HEALTH FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC OF ELLWOOD CITY, PENNSYLVANIA, AS WELL AS THE SURROUNDING GEOGRAPHIC AREAS BY PROVIDING GRANTS, GIFTS, AND OTHER DISTRIBUTIONS FOR CHARITABLE, EDUCATIONAL, AND SCIENTIFIC PURPOSES.
