THE VOLUNTEER FIRE FIGHTERS, HAZARDOUS MATERIAL SPECIALISTS AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL SPECIALISTS OF THE DEPARTMENT PRIMARILY SERVE THE WANTAGH FIRE DISTRICT (A GOVERNMENTAL ENTITY). THE DEPARTMENTS'S MEMBERS ALO PROVIDE "MUTUAL AID AND "STANDBY" SERVICES TO SURROUNDING DISTRICTS WHEN REQUIRED TO DO SO.
