Ongoing construction of homes with From Houses to Homes: In each community, the families had been living in shacks made out of cardboard, corn stalks or scrap metal and dirt floors. The homes were replaced with reinforced concrete block homes with concrete floors and locking doors and windows. 2-6 Guatemalan skilled laborers benefit from a paid job with each constructed home. We regranted $67,235.00 to From Houses to Homes to build 23 homes in 4 communities, in the departments of Sacatapequez and Chilmaltenango, that directly impacted over 100 people, most of whom are women and children.
