Mission

To rescue dogs from our local humane societies train them to become working service dogs and place them with local disabled veterans first responders and autistic children to improve their lives. Our dogs are trained to mitigate both physical and psychological disabilities including PTSD and TBI. Our mission is to return to our clients some of the freedom they lost while defending that of all Americans and give disabled children a chance to become independent and acquire necessary social skills.

Diane is a US Air Force disabled veteran who has suffered from PTSD for over 20 years. In that period she has hardly left her home visiting doctors only when necessary. She became a recluse without contact with friends or the outside world. She reached out to Canine Angels and after several months of training we placed her with a service dog MAX a Boston Terrier who had spent over 1 year in training in our program. Max brought Diane back to life and provided her not only with the strength to face reality but also to enjoy being out running errands meeting people and engaging in normal and regular activities with others.

Karole served as a pilot in the US Marines and afterwards won many awards for long distance flying. The pressures of life however made her suffer from extreme anxiety with a severely ill husband and problematic granddaughter who lives with her. We trained her dog ROMEO to be her Psychological Service Dog alerting Karole to impending episodes of anxiety depression and anger so that she could avert the negativity she always suffered. Romeo has been a lifesaver for his Mom and they have traveled nationally and internationally several times.

Milton served in the US Marines and he and his wife adopted their grandson Brantley when their son went downhill due to drug addiction. Milton suffered from back injuries and PTSD and Brantley now 11 has issues with social cues. We placed a magnificent German Shepherd YANNI with the family to serve as a service dog to both and the change in family bonding attitude toward life and ability to int=eract with others has been miraculous.
