OUR PROJECT: NO ORDINARY LOVE MINISTRIES EMMANUEL HOUSE OPENED IN 2012. EMMANUEL HOUSE IS A PLACE OF REFUGE AND LOVE FOR AT-RISK CHILDREN AND FAMILIES LIVING IN ADDIS ABABA AND/OR FROM DIFFERENT REGIONS OF ETHIOPIA. EMMANUEL HOUSE PROVIDES HOLISTIC CARE TO MARGINALIZED CHILDREN, YOUTH, AND FAMILIES. OUR TEAM IS BEST KNOWN FOR REUNITING LOST (MISSING) CHILDREN BACK WITH THEIR FAMILIES ALL OVER ETHIOPIA. NOLM PARTNERS WITH THE ADDIS ABABA POLICE COMMISSION AND THE CHILDREN'S JUSTICE PROJECT OF ETHIOPIA AND ACCEPTS LOST CHILDREN REFERRED TO EMMANUEL HOUSE FOR REUNIFICATION WITH THEIR FAMILIES. EMMANUEL HOUSE HAS THE CAPACITY FOR 30 CHILDREN. EMMANUEL HOUSE PROVIDES PROGRAMS EMPHASIZING PROTECTION AND PSYCHOSOCIAL SUPPORT, HEALTH INTERVENTIONS, SOCIAL COHESION, CAPACITY BUILDING, COMPREHENSIVE REHABILITATION, EDUCATION, EVENTUAL REUNIFICATION OF MISSING INDIVIDUALS BACK WITH THEIR FAMILIES ACROSS ETHIOPIA, AND MORE. DUE TO THE COMPLEXITIES OF THE CHILDREN'S CASES, THE AVERAGE LENGTH OF STAY FOR CHILDREN LIVING AT EMMANUEL HOUSE IS 3 MONTHS. THE AVERAGE AGE OF CHILDREN LIVING AT EMMANUEL HOUSE IS 12, HOWEVER, WE HAVE CHILDREN OF ALL AGES. OUR MAIN GOAL IS TO REUNITE/REINTEGRATE EACH CHILD BACK INTO A SAFE ENVIRONMENT WITH FAMILY MEMBERS AND/OR LOVED ONES.IN 2019, THE EMMANUEL HOUSE 7-YEAR PROJECT COMPLETED AND REUNITED A TOTAL OF 700 LOST/MISSING (TRAFFICKED) CHILDREN BACK WITH THEIR FAMILIES ALL OVER ETHIOPIA. MOST CHILDREN WERE VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC CHILD LABOR. IN ADDITION TO CHILD REUNIFICATION, EMMANUAL HOUSE HAD A VERY SUCCESSFUL COMMUNITY-BASED PROGRAM OVER THE 7-YEARS WHICH PROVIDED INCOME GENERATING ACTIVITIES (JOBS FOR FAMILIES), FOOD, ACTIVITIES, SPIRITUAL AND EMOTIONAL SUPPORT, LIFE SAVING HEALTHCARE AND SO MUCH MORE FOR THE UNDERSERVED CHILDREN, YOUGH AND FAMILIES IN THE EMMANUEL HOUSE NEIGHBORHOOD.
