UCANs mission is ending the euthanasia of cats and dogs in local shelters and keeping pets in their loving homes by providing professional and affordable spay/neuter and wellness services. In 2024, we performed 12,115 spay/neuter surgeries. These surgeries prevented hundreds of thousands of unwanted puppies and kittens from being into abuse, neglect and ultimately facing euthanasia in overcrowded shelters. The surgeries, which prevent or substantially reduce certain types of illnesses and cancers, will also help these pets live longer, healthier lives.
