GREELEY COUNTY HEALTH SERVICES (GCHS) OPERATES AN 25-BED CRITICAL ACCESS HOSPITAL, TWO RURAL HEALTH CLINICS, AND A LONG-TERM CARE FACILITY WHICH PROVIDE HEALTHCARE SERVICES INCLUDING INPATIENT, OUTPATIENT, EMERGENCY CARE, AND RESIDENTIAL LONG-TERM CARE SERVICES TO PATIENTS IN THE GREELEY COUNTY AREA. GCHS PROVIDED 281 ADMISSIONS, 9,767 OUTPATIENT VISITS, 972 EMERGENCY VISITS, AS WELL AS 5,824 RESIDENT PATIENT DAYS IN 2023. GCHS PROVIDES CARE TO PERSONS COVERED BY GOVERNMENTAL PROGRAMS AT BELOW COST AND TO INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE UNABLE TO PAY. THE UNREIMBURSED VALUE OF PROVIDING CARE TO THESE PATIENTS WAS 206,037 FOR CHARITY CARE, 2,547,434 FOR MEDICARE, 224,656 FOR MEDICAID, AND 2,039,099 FOR OTHER THIRD PARTY PAYORS FOR THE YEAR.
