Spay and Neuter Clinic: Valley Spay and Neuter is dedicated to significantly reducing pet overpopulation through assessable and affordable spay, neuter and wellness services. Services are available to income qualified community members, rescue organizations. and for stray/community dogs and cats. 1677 dogs/cats were spayed or neutered between opening May 2024 and December 31, 2024. Spay/neuter procedures also include vaccinations and microchips. The alteration of these dogs/cats will prevent countless unwanted litters being born.

Rescue and Adoption: During the year, the organization helped a total of 1282 animals. Of those pets, 299 were adopted and 983 were transferred to other rescue partners. Many of these animals had significant injuries or illnesses that were treated prior to adoption or transfer. The organization helped find a loving home for these pets either through direct adoption or transfer to another partner rescue/shelter to increase their chance of adoption. All adopted animals received vaccinations and a spay/neuter procedure to prevent unwanted litters.

Spay and Neuter Assistance: Our Prevent A Litter (PAL) Voucher Program assists pet owners with the cost of a spay or neuter procedure at Yakima Humane Society Spay Neuter Clinic. Since the program's inception in August 2021, 760 dogs/cats have been altered with a PAL voucher. The program has been beneficial to pet owners who might not have otherwise been able to afford to have their pet altered.
