The mission statement of The First Tee of Greater Tyler is to impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values, and promote healthy choices through the game of golf. For 2024, this was accomplished through a series of 7-week programs. The spring program was attended by 203 participants; the summer program was attended by 237 participants; the fall program was attended by 144 participants. In addition, the organization was involved in Youth-Serving (formerly the National School Program) in which 25 elementary public and private schools from the Bullard, Lindale, Tyler, Whitehouse and Promise Academy Independent School Districts and 13,145 students participated.
