The programs and services of DBC all serve to promote the healing and healthy lifestyle of cancer survivors and their communities while redefining cancer survivorship. The organization is careful to provide programs of varying degrees so that every patient/survivor has a place "in the boat" regardless of ability, age, stage of disease or rehabilitation, or demographic. DBC offers practice paddling 4-5 times per week from March to November and offers off-water fitness programs during the winter months for cancer patients, survivors, and community paddlers who choose to support the organization and/or who have been touched by cancer, and for novice paddlers who are just learning about how our programs can help provide healing and prevent recurrence. We provide all services for free to cancer patients and survivors. Community paddlers pay a fee of $125/year for membership.
