Direct Assistance1. Assistance: Provided accompaniment and other support for 20 families, approximately 40 individuals. 2. Formed a network to transport over 40 asylees and asylum-seekers released from the Cibola detention facility to Albuquerque and help them with short-term housing and other necessities.3. Continued a court companion program and other efforts to support the immigrant community.4. Created the Rapid Response Network alert system to quickly assist immigrants in need.5. Immigration Application Scholarships: Continued offering scholarships to applicants for permanent residence and deferred action, in collaboration with faith communities and Listo Nuevo Mexico.

Immigration Awareness Programs: Led a group of 10 NMFCIJ volunteers to El Paso/Juarez for a border immersion awareness program on immigration issues and conditions.3. Sponsored anti-racism training for over 25 people involved with the NMFCIJ.4. Hosted the Congressional District 1 Candidate Forum with approximately 70 people in attendance.5. Sermons, Presentations, Panel Discussions: Provided 30 presentations to faith leaders, congregations, schools, and community groups.

Community Building - The 2018 Community Building program is focused on building and strengthening relationships with other groups, agencies and organizations involved with immigrant issues. This includes outreach to 23 faith communities (such as the Monte Vista Christian Church, First Unitarian Church of Albuquerque, Nahalat Shalom, etc.) in educating their membership on immigrant issues and how they may help. It also includes collaborating and cooperating with over 10 immigrant-related organizations in New Mexico (such as Catholic Charities, Encuentro Nuevo Mexico, El Centro de Igualdad y Derechos, Lutheran Family Services, etc.) to assist current and newly arriving immigrants.
