THE RHOADES SCHOOL FOUNDATION (THE FOUNDATION) EXISTS TO SERVE THE FAMILIES OF THERHOADES SCHOOL BY CONNECTING AND SUPPORTING THE RHOADES SCHOOL COMMUNITY. THEFOUNDATION IS A PARENT-LED ORGANIZATION WHOSE CHIEF GOAL IS TO SUPPORT THESTUDENTS, PARENTS, AND TEACHERS AT THE RHOADES SCHOOL THROUGH COMMUNITY-BUILDINGIN THE FORM OF FUN AND EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION SPONSORED EVENTS.THE FOUNDATION EFFORTS ARE CLOSELY ALIGNED WITH THE GOALS OF THE RHOADES SCHOOL TOENSURE ALL EFFORTS ADD SUPPLEMENTAL VALUE TO OUR CHILDREN'S EDUCATIONAL ANDEXTRACURRICULAR EXPERIENCE.

PROVIDED OR SUPPORTED SCHOOL ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS FOR APPROXIMATELY 300 STUDENTS SPREAD OVER OUR 3 CAMPUSES. STUDENTS AT THE RHOADES SCHOOL IN ENCINITAS, CA. ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS IN ACADEMICS,THE ARTS, AND FITNESS WERE SUPPORTED IN ORDER TO FULFILL THE ORGANIZATION'S COMMITMENT TO ENHANCEMENT OF EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR CHILDREN WITH THE CAPACITY FOR HIGH-LEVEL INTELLECTUAL DEVELOPMENT.ENCOURAGING COMMUNITY SPIRIT AND INVOLVEMENT IS AT THE HEART OF THE RHOADESSCHOOL FOUNDATION. THROUGHOUT THE LAST YEAR WE WERE ABLE TO CELEBRATE OURSTUDENTS, TEACHERS, STAFF, AND PARENTS.SOME OF OUR EVENTS INCLUDED:-FIELD DAYS ON ALL CAMPUSES PROMOTING FITNESS ACTIVITIES FOR THE KIDS, AND A PICKBALL TOURNAMENT FOR PARENTS.-PROVIDED SPORTS UNIFORMS FOR OUR SCHOOL SPORTS TEAMS. -FALL BOOK FAIRS.-PIZZA FRIDAYS.-FALL ICE CREAM SOCIAL HELD ON BOTH CAMPUSES AT THE RHOADES SCHOOL. PROVIDING MUSIC, ENTERTAINMENT AND FOOD FOR THE MIDDLE SCHOOL DANCES. -OUR NEW WINTER GLOW DANCE WAS A FUN AFTER-HOURS ACTIVITY FOR STUDENTS AND PARENTS. -SPRING FAMILY CARNIVAL EVENT.-DIVERSITY DAY ACTIVITIES INCLUDING A CULTURAL FOOD CELEBRATION AND A PERFORMANCE BY LOCAL CULTURAL GROUPS.-TEACHER & STAFF APPRECIATION TREATS WERE GIVEN EVERY MONTH AND ALL FACULTY RECEIVED CATERED LUNCH AND A RELAXATION CLASS IN SPRING.THIS YEAR, THE GIRLS RISING PORTION OF OUR ORGANIZATION CONTINUED THEIR WORK WITH SEVERAL EVENTS, INCLUDING A CULTURALLY FOCUSED BAZAAR, OPEN MIC NIGHT, AND CONTINUED SPONSORSHIP OF GIRLS' EDUCATION AROUND THE WORLD. STUDENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL ASPECTS OF THESE ACTIVITIES, WHICH NOT ONLY PROMOTES THE CAUSES, BUT ALSO TEACHES PROJECT MANAGEMENT, TEAM BUILDING, AND OTHER SPECIALIZED SKILLS.
