Leadership Long Beach InstituteThe Leadership Long Beach Institute is an immersive 10-month program designed for community leaders aiming to deepen their understanding of Long Beach's opportunities and challenges. Running annually from August to June, this intensive program spans over 100 hours, focusing on principled leadership development. Throughout the program, participants engage in dynamic class sessions emphasizing our 14 leadership principles. Led by community leaders and subject matter experts, these sessions feature panel presentations and interactive discussions covering a wide range of topics, including the local economy, government, education, arts, culture, and social services. One of the program's key strengths is its commitment to bringing in leaders from the public, private, and nonprofit sectors to ensure participants are exposed to different lenses through which they can solve community challenges. By providing a platform for dialogue and learning from diverse perspectives, the LLBI equips leaders with the knowledge and skills needed to drive positive change within their communities.
