In 2025, Lambda Archives distributed $5,500 to local LGBTQ+ Latinx students attending local community colleges through the Larry T. Baza Memorial Scholarship Fund. We also hosted approximately 100 people at the scholarship reception and pride kick-off month event, which continues to be a signature Lambda Archives tradition bringing together community members, students, and supporters each year.Our collections grew through 28 new accessions, encompassing donations of posters, photographs, textiles, books, and more. In a landmark year for digital preservation, 3,704 objects were digitized including the Vertez Burks collection scans and the historic Thimot-Rawnsley photograph albums making them accessible through our digital preservation software. Staff and volunteers also carefully deframed over 200 items for proper archival housing, and between 450 and 500 books were cataloged into our library collection.Lambda Archives served 13 researchers across 39 research appointments, welcoming scholars, community members, and two class visits from the University of San Diego and City College. Our archives were further supported by 8 archival interns and 17 volunteers, whose contributions were essential to the depth and breadth of our work this year.Lambda Archives curated and presented 3 exhibits and hosted 11 workshops and events in collaboration with community partners, including programming from our "Writing is Resistance" series, which featured panels, oral history recordings, and community conversations throughout the year.
