In FY 2021, La Maestra Family Clinic, Inc. (LMFC) was one of the leading providers of Medical, Dental and Behavioral Health services for low income, uninsured and otherwise underserved individuals and families in central, east and south San Diego County, California. LMFC owns and operates 18 primary care sites, ten dental suites, one licensed mobile site, and three school-based health centers. The Corporation has been providing programs and services to more than 45,000 individuals annually. Of these, 84% of patients were living at or below 200% of poverty and 57% preferred to be provided care in a language other than English. Medical services provided by LMFC include Family Medicine, Pediatrics Obstetrics, preventive care, chronic disease management, health education, chiropractic, lab, pharmacy and access to imaging services. Dental services include Pediatric and Adult oral health exams, education, cleanings, fillings, extractions, diagnosis and treatment of various dental conditions, preventive oral health including fluoride treatments and dental sealants, and consultations for crowns and bridges. Behavioral Health services include integrated screening and treatment provided by Psychiatrists, Psychologists and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists as well as Substance Use Disorder Services. LMFC also provides many other services through it's Circle of Care model to address critical social determinants of health, including Food Pantry services and Legal Advocacy and Immigration services.
