In FY 24-25 San Diego Childrens Choir SDCC provided high-quality music education to over 1,565 children ages 1 - 18 from diverse socio-economic backgrounds, representing 190 schools countywide. Through its ensemble program, students ages 6-18 received age-appropriate voice training, music literacy instruction and performance opportunities. Introductory and school outreach programs introduced children ages 1 - 10 to music. Programming was accessible at 13 sites, with needs-based scholarships and outreach music education classes at Title 1 schools ensuring inclusivity-74 of participants were low-income and received free donor-supported music education. SDCC also enriched the arts community with 25 collaborative events and launched its inaugural Youth Choral Festival, welcoming eight childrens choirs from local and national organizations.
