The San Diego Half Marathon is a premier race that celebrates the beauty and uniqueness of San Diego, while raising money to help its communities. All net proceeds go toward community service projects and select charitable causes in San Diego. In addition to the funding, we work to catalyze volunteerism as a way to help hurting communities throughout our cities. The half marathon will also benefit additional charities by enabling runners to raise money for the causes that are important to them. Their mission is to promote community service initiatives that catalyze volunteerism and charitable giving as a way to transform lives while providing a premier, professionally managed running & entertainment event which leverages and celebrates the unique qualities of San Diego. In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, in addition to offering the San Diego Half Marathon as a virtual race option, several other new virtual runs including the Million Mile Half Marathon and Screen to 5K were launched to support our mission.
