TODEC's programs are aimed to empower disenfranchised immigrant communities to become economically, socially, educationally, culturally, and civically self-sufficient while enhancing individual self-esteem and community health. The overall purpose of TODEC is to ensure equitable access to community education, organizing, leadership development, civic engagement, and immigration legal services for limited and non-English speaking people including immigrants and migrant workers throughout Riverside, San Bernardino, and Imperial counties.Increased Education and Outreach Impact: We expanded our community education and outreach efforts to underserved communities, reaching over 100,000 individuals through informational sessions, workshops, and community events. This led to greater awareness about immigrant rights, resources, and access to essential services.Increased Direct Financial Assistance to Impacted Farmworkers and Vulnerable Immigrant Communities.Youth Empowerment Initiatives: Our youth empowerment programs (Monarcas Luchadoras Youth Leadership Program) saw significant growth, with participation increasing by 30%. We provided mentorship, leadership training, and educational support to empower young immigrants to pursue their academic and career goals.Established TODECs Entrepreneurship Program: TODECs El Centavito Aprende y Emprende program is designed to assist immigrant communities understand systems in a cultural competent setting and provide a pathway through skill building programs that level the economic playing field for low income families to establish their small home based business and entrepreneurial venture. TODEC provides members of the community with the opportunity to understand how to establish their own business regardless of their immigration status. Our program supports community members to further their economic advancement to a population who otherwise may not have access to benefits, resources, or opportunity. Participants that fully complete our 14 week program receive a small grant to help establish their business. (program grant availability varies depending on funding)
