AT THE HEART OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH IS THE INCREMENTAL DISCOVERY OF CAUSE AND EFFECT. EACH NEW FINDING PERPETUATES A DEEPER UNDERSTANDING TO BE APPLIED TO THE NEXT EXPERIMENT. IN MEDICINE, THIS LEADS TO THE DISCOVERY OF BETTER TREATMENTS, IMPROVED DIAGNOSTIC TECHNIQUES, AND EVEN CURES. AGING-RELATED ILLNESSES KNOW NO GEOGRAPHICAL BOUNDARIES, NOR DOES EACH EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN OR STRATEGY. IN THE FIELD OF PUBLIC BENEFIT, NON PROFIT MEDICAL RESEARCH, EACH EXPERIMENT, EACH ANALYSIS OF DATA, AND EACH PUBLICATION OR PRESENTATION OF THE RESEARCH, REGARDLESS OF THE LOCATION OF THE LABORATORY, BENEFITS EVERYONE WHO EXPERIENCES THE EFFECTS OF AGING-RELATED CONDITIONS. BECAUSE RESEARCH RESULTS ARE PUBLISHED AND DISSEMINATED THROUGHOUT THE SCIENTIFIC AND MEDICAL COMMUNITY, NEW EXPERIMENTS ARE DESIGNED AND CARRIED OUT BY MORE LABORATORIES, BUILDING ON PRIOR RESULTS. EACH TIME RESEARCH RESULTS ARE REPORTED AND SHARED, ALL OF THOSE AFFECTED BY THE ILLNESSES MOVE ONE STEP CLOSER TO NEW TREATMENTS OR CURES. GRANTS WERE MADE IN SUPPORT OF RESEARCH IN ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE, ARTHRITIS, RHEUMATOID HEART DISEASE, INFLUENZA AND LIVER DISEASE. IN ADDITION, AARC PREPARED A VARIETY OF NON-SCIENTIFIC ARTICLES ON AGING-RELATED CONDITIONS. THESE INFORMATION ARTICLES APPEAR ON OUR WEBSITE, AND OTHERS WERE USED AS MATERIALS FOR A NEWSLETTER DESCRIBING THE RESEARCH CENTER'S ACTIVITIES.
