GRI worked with the Office of Natioanl Drug Control Policy and created the only National Recovery Ready Toolkit to engage employers to become Recovery Friendly Workplaces. GRIF with the support of the McMillan Foundation and numerous corporate sponsors continues to build upon the creation of the Recovery Friendly Workplace Institute in 2023. The Institute as a clearing house for research, training and technical assistance for employers who wish to partiicipate. In 2024 the White House hosted a roundtable of of employers who are participating in the National Recovery Friendly Workplace certification process. Oracle, Shaw Industries, Gorilla Glue, UAW, the Flight Attendants Union, HRCI, Fors March, and others were among the group.
